Team Software Data Breach  – Class Action Investigation

(“Team Software”), company that provides workforce and/or financial management solutions to a wide variety of companies. Company confirmed an estimated 99,525 individuals had their information taken in a data breach incident according to a filing with the Maine Attorney General.

What Happened at Team Software?

On or around July 26, 2024, Team Software discovered that an unauthorized user had gained access to its system. In response, the Company hired a third-party cybersecurity forensics agency to conduct a thorough investigation and ascertain the scope of the potential data security incident. Investigation confirmed that the unauthorized user had access to Team Software’s computer system between July 25, 2024-July 26, 2024, resulting in the compromise of personally identifying data belonging to an estimated 99, 525 individuals.

The information compromised may have included, but not limited to the following: name, social security number, and driver’s license number.
