Silent Hill f GameStop Steelbook Preorder Bait-and-Switch – Class Action Investigation
CSK&D is investigating a potential class action lawsuit concerning GameStop’s failure to provide an exclusive Steelbook case to all customers who had preordered Silent Hill f, the newest entry in the Silent Hill Series.
Prior to the game’s official release on September 25, 2025, Gamestop advertised the steelbook case for the game as an enticing preorder bonus for those that pre-purchased the game through its stores or website. It is alleged that Gamestop continued to promote the bonus despite knowing that it did not have sufficient inventory to fulfill all pre-orders.
