Philadelphia Corporation for Aging Data Breach Class Action Investigation
Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith is investigating potential class action claims against the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (“PCA”) for a data security incident that may have impacted the personal information of an unknown number of individuals.
According to a breach notification filed with the Maine Attorney General’s Office and public reports, a cybersecurity incident compromised the personal and protected health information of individuals within PCA’s network.
What Happened at Philadelphia Corporation for Aging?
On or around July 25, 2025, PCA detected unusual activity in its network environment. An investigation determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to its systems and may have copied certain information between July 10, 2025, and July 25, 2025.
PCA completed its review of the affected data on October 23, 2025, and began mailing notification letters to impacted individuals on November 4, 2025.
What Information Was Compromised?
The compromised data varies by individual but may include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Full name
- Social Security number
- Date of birth
- Address
- Contact information
- Medical information and/or protected health information
- Health insurance information
- Financial information
