Nissan Altima Dim Headlights – Class Action Lawsuit and Settlement

Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith is pleased to announce a nationwide class action settlement on behalf of current and former owners or lessees of 2013-2018 Nissan Altimas manufactured with halogen headlamps.

The lawsuit, Suarez et, al. v. Nissan, Case No. 3:21-CV-393, filed in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, alleges that the headlamps in the class vehicles become dim over time due to a defect.

The settlement, which became effective on January 20, 2022, provides extended warranty coverage for headlamps, reimbursement for headlamp replacements prior to October 25, 2021, and a one-time opportunity for free replacements regardless of age or mileage of the vehicle.
