Mouser Electronics Tariff Surcharge Investigation

Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith LLP is investigating potential class action claims on behalf of customers who purchased electronic components or other products from Mouser Electronics and were charged a tariff fee or surcharge.

Mouser Electronics is a major distributor of semiconductors and electronic components. Beginning September 1, 2025, the company broadened its application of tariff fees, passing additional tariff costs on to customers. These charges may appear as separate line items during checkout and on the customer’s final invoice.

In February 2026, the United States Supreme Court held that tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act were unlawful. Certain importers may be eligible to obtain refunds of IEEPA duties, although tariffs imposed under other legal authorities remain in effect.

The firm is investigating whether Mouser customers paid fees attributable to invalidated IEEPA tariffs and whether those customers may be entitled to refunds.
