LivaNova Data Breach – Class Action Investigation
Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith is investigating a potential class action relating to a data breach incident involving LivaNova, Inc., (“LivaNova”), a medical technology company.
Specifically, it is reported that LivaNova has disclosed that an unauthorized party had gained access to its network and had accessed data, including certain identifiable personal information of U.S. patients, stored on its system between October 26, 2023- November 19, 2023. Data compromised may have included, but not limited to, the following: name, address, social security numbers, medical information (e.g. medical treatment and diagnostic information, medical record numbers, and medical device serial numbers), and health insurance information.
