Investigation: Oral Tirzepatide “Drops” Sold by Willow Health

Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith LLP is investigating the marketing and sale of so-called “oral tirzepatide drops” sold through Willow Health (also known as Willow) and potentially dispensed by Epiq Pharmacy (also known as Epiq Scripts).

What Is the Concern?

Tirzepatide is the active ingredient in Mounjaro® and Zepbound®, which are FDA-approved injectable medications. Tirzepatide is a peptide, and there is no clinical evidence establishing that it can produce a therapeutic effect when delivered orally or sublingually.

Who May Be Affected?

You may have relevant information if you:

  1. Purchased oral “tirzepatide drops” from Willow Health (Willow)
  2. Received a compounded tirzepatide product in liquid, sublingual, or drops form
  3. Had your prescription filled by Epiq Pharmacy (Epiq Scripts)
  4. Were told that the drops were equivalent to Mounjaro®, Zepbound®, or another GLP-1 medication (such as the Wegovy Pill®)
  5. Did not experience meaningful weight loss
  6. Paid significant out-of-pocket costs for the product
