Hyundai Ioniq & Kia EV6 Battery Drain  – Class Action Investigation

Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donalson-Smith LLP is investigating a potential class action lawsuit related to reports that 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, and Kia EV6 and Genesis GV60 models suffer from battery drain issues. Specifically, the 12-volt battery in the car can drain rapidly as result of a failure of these vehicles’ integrated charging control unit (“ICCU”). Hyundai and Kia recently announced a recall due to this issue that would require either a software update or a replacement of the vehicle’s failed ICCU.

Many owners, even after having either the software update installed or the ICCU replaced, are still reporting issues with the car’s 12-volt battery rapidly draining.

If you have a Hyundai or Kia EV vehicle experiencing battery drain issues, please fill-out the form provided below.
