Recent reports indicate that some restaurants, retailers, and other business, are engaging in deceptive pricing schemes through the form of different variations of add-on fees for supply chain issues, warehouse storage, credit card usage, Covid-19 fees, and other types of surprise administrative fees.  This subterfuge allows companies to effectively maintain an appealing facade of low prices, while squeezing consumers for extra money without their knowledge.  Often these fees are not disclosed prior to the point of sale.
