General Motors 6.2 Liter Engine Failure – Class Action Investigation
Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith is investigating a potential class action against General Motors (“GM”) concerning reports of engine failure in certain General Motor vehicles containing 6.2 L engines. Engine failure incidences are highly unpredictable and can happen while driving on busy roadways leading to sudden deceleration and loss of power of the vehicle, posing a risk to both the driver and others on the road. Many of these cars that have experienced engine failure, following inspection by their dealership, were found to have metal shavings or debris in the engine compartment.
The following General Motor and Chevrolet vehicles that have engines that are vulnerable to engine failure include:
- 2019-2024 Cadillac Escalade
- 2019-2024 Chevrolet Escalade
- 2019-2024 Chevrolet Suburban
- 2019-2024 Chevrolet Tahoe
- 2019- 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
- 2019-2024 GMC Sierra 1500
