Electric Wheelchair Self-Repair Voided Warranty– Class Action Investigation

CSK&D is investigating possible class action lawsuits against electric wheelchair manufacturers that do not allow customers to repair their wheelchairs themselves. According to reports, some electronic wheelchair manufacturers will void the warranty if a consumer either repairs their chair themselves or does not get it repaired through the manufacturer. Furthermore, some consumers report significant wait times, sometimes up to six months, for repairs from the manufacturer.
