CSKD is Investigating Online Healthcare Companies for Sharing Patient Information with Big Tech Companies
Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith LLP (CSKD) is investigating potential class action claims against numerous online healthcare companies for allegedly sharing highly sensitive personal and health data with Meta and other major technology companies. CSKD is specifically investigating
myLAB Box
Exxactcare
DivvyDose
OptumRX
These telehealth providers seemingly offer a convenient way to access healthcare, medications, and related services. However, what they allegedly failed to disclose is that they were transmitting patient data to Google, Facebook, Bing, and/or TikTok through hidden third-party tracking tools. One such tool, the Meta Pixel—a JavaScript snippet created by Facebook—enables website developers to track visitor activity and may potentially relay information back to Facebook. Other major tech companies could be engaging in similar practices.
