Consulting Radiologists Data Breach – Class Action Investigation
Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith is investigating a potential class action relating to a data breach incident involving Consulting Radiologists, LTD, a radiology practice. The Company confirmed that 511,947 individuals had their information taken in a data breach incident according to a filing with the Maine Attorney General.
What Happened at Consulting Radiologists?
On or around February 12, 2024, an unauthorized user gained access to Consulting Radiologist’s system. Consulting Radiologists retained a cybersecurity firm to conduct further investigation to confirm the scope of the breach. Following the investigation’s completion on or around April 17, 2024, it was confirmed that the information compromised may have included: name, address, date of birth, social security number, health insurance information, and medical information.
