Apple Antitrust  – Class Action Investigation

Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith is investigating a potential antitrust class action case brought on behalf of purchasers of  Apple iPhones directly from Apple, which has inflated prices due to Apple’s alleged monopolization of the smartphone market.

This comes on the heels of the recent civil antitrust lawsuit filed by the U.S. Department of Justice and 16 other state and district Attorneys General against Apple alleging it of maintaining a monopoly over the smartphone market by imposing certain restrictions on third-party app functionality on its devices. By placing restrictions on the full compatibility of certain third-party apps, including the functionality of non-Apple smartwatches, digital wallets and cloud streaming services, consumers are often limited to using Apple’s own proprietary apps in order to be fully compatible with their iPhone and Apple watch. These restrictions have allegedly resulted in higher prices for consumers, higher fees on developers and creators, and suppression of competitive alternative technologies.

If you purchased an iPhone directly from Apple in the last four years, please fill-out the form provided below.
