American Clinical Solutions Data Breach  – Class Action Investigation

Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith is investigating a potential class action relating to a data breach incident involving American Clinical Solutions, LLC (“ACS”), a Boca Raton, FL provider of drug confirmation testing services.

What Happened at ACS?

According to recent reports on the breach , the RansomHub ransomware group, the group responsible for the Change Healthcare breach, confirmed that it had gained access to the Company’s system mid-May 2024, resulting in the exposure of sensitive personal information belonging to an estimated 500,000 individuals. ACS has yet to publish a formal statement on the breach on their website or disseminate a formal letter to all those potentially affected by the breach.

Information compromised as a result of the breach includes, but not limited to, the following:  name, date of birth, patient ID, doctor’s name, name of clinic requesting drug test, laboratory results, policy numbers and other health insurance information, social security number, and phone number.
