Abbott FreeStyle Libre 3 & Libre 3 Plus Glucose Sensor Accuracy Issues Investigation

Abbott notified affected customers on November 24, 2025, advising certain users about the issue and recommended next steps.

Our investigation concerns allegations that certain FreeStyle Libre sensors were marketed as accurate and reliable, while Abbott allegedly failed to disclose a manufacturing defect tied to a specific production line that could cause falsely low glucose readings. Inaccurate readings may lead users to take unnecessary corrective action or delay appropriate treatment. Federal regulators advised that affected sensors should be discontinued and replaced due to the seriousness of the issue.

California consumers may have paid out-of-pocket for devices advertised as highly accurate and dependable, without being informed of issues that could affect performance.
