Thompson Coburn Data Breach – Class Action Investigation

The Company confirmed that the information associated with 305, 088 patients of a healthcare sector client, Presbyterian Healthcare Services out of New Mexico had their information taken in a data breach incident according to a filing with the U.S. Department of Health and Humans Services
What Happened at Thompson Coburn?
On or around May 29, 2024, Thompson Coburn discovered that an unauthorized user had gained access to its system and had stolen a large cache of data associated with protected health information belonging to one of their clients, Presbyterian Healthcare Services. It was determine that the unauthorized user had access to Thompson Coburn’s system between May 28, 2024-May 29, 2024.
The information compromised may have included, but not limited to the following: name, date of birth, address, social security number, medical record number, patient account number, prescription/treatment information, clinical information, medical provider information, and health insurance information.
