Axis Health System Data Breach – Class Action Investigation
Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith is investigating a potential class action relating to a potential data breach incident involving Axis Health System, a behavioral health system comprised of 13 behavioral health facilities located in Colorado.
What Happened at Axis Health System?
On or around October 11, 2024, Axis Health System reported that it had experienced a cyber incident and took initial steps to stop the unauthorized activity. They have yet to confirm the exact scope of the breach and whether any patient information may have been compromised as a result.
The ransomware group claiming responsibility for the cyber-attack is Rhysida, a ransomware group implicated in other recent hospital and/or health facility network cybersecurity attacks.
