Educational Computer Systems (ECSI) Data Breach – Class Action Investigation
Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith is investigating a potential class action relating to a data breach incident involving Educational Computer Systems, Inc. (“ECSI’) , a third-party billing processor of student loans for various colleges and universities.
Specifically, it is reported that ECSI believes that an unauthorized party accessed student loan borrower tax forms between October 29, 2023-February 12, 2024. Information accessed may have included , but not limited to, the following: name, social security numbers, and tuition payment information
