Tesla Phantom Braking – Class Action Investigation
Chimicles Schwartz Kriner Donaldson-Smith is investigating reports that 2021 and 2022 Tesla Model 3 and Model Y vehicles suffer from phantom braking issues. Specifically, phantom braking happens when the brakes of the vehicle are activated unexpectedly and without warning while the vehicle is being driven, which poses a serious safety risk. For example, when the affected Tesla vehicle is in cruise control, the phantom braking may be initiated when a semi-truck is approaching in an oncoming lane or whenever the Tesla vehicle goes from 75 mph to 40 mph in a matter of seconds.
