Mislabeled Wood Products Case Investigation
Mislabeled Wood Products Case Investigation
Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith (CSK&D) is investigating potential claims against retailers that are allegedly misrepresenting the species and type of wood used in their products.
First, some retailers are reportedly selling wood-containing products (such as furniture and kitchen products) and mispresenting them as being made from a specific species of wood when, in fact, the wood is a different species altogether. For example, a product containing wood may be misrepresented as being from Mahogany when it is, in fact, made from some other species of wood such as Cherry or Pine.
Second, CSK&D is also investigating claims against retailers for allegedly misrepresenting products containing wood as being constructed with the wrong type of wood. For example, a product containing wood may be misrepresented as being solid wood when it is actually constructed from particle board.
If you have purchased a product containing wood that you believe has been misrepresented, we would like to hear from you.
