Electrolux and Frigidaire Refrigerator Fire Class Action Investigation

Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith (CSK&D) is investigating a potential class action against Electrolux relating to a safety defect causing certain models of Frigidaire or Electrolux refrigerators to catch fire in or around the freezer area. Specifically, numerous consumers have reported incidents where their Frigidaire or Electrolux refrigerators have caught fire, and in extreme cases, have caused fire-related property damage. Even though this defect poses a potential safety risk, the Company has in some cases refused to cover repair or labor costs, particularly if the defective fridge is no longer covered under warranty.
