TikTok Privacy Class Action Investigation
TikTok Privacy Class Action Investigation
Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith (“CSK&D”) is investigating potential class action claims against TikTok, Inc., relating to its collection and use of minor children’s biometric data—such as facial recognition data—that it collects from its minor users.
TikTok is a popular social media platform among minors under the age of eighteen. Nevertheless, TikTok allegedly collects these minors’ biometric data, but it does not disclose when it is collecting such personal information or for what purposes this private information is being used, which may violate certain privacy laws. This is especially troubling for the privacy of minor children.
If you or your child are TikTok users and are concerned about your privacy, we would like to hear from you.
