Oregano Oil Supplements Sold on Amazon: Potency Misrepresentation Investigation

Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith is investigating potential class action claims related to oregano oil dietary supplements sold on Amazon, following recent third-party testing showing that many of these products contain far less of their advertised active ingredient (and in several cases, none of it) than their labels claim.

In April 2026, supplement manufacturer NOW Foods published the results of testing it conducted on 35 oregano oil products purchased from Amazon in February 2026. Fifteen products delivered less than 8% of their stated carvacrol content, and six contained no detectable carvacrol at all.

The following 21 brands and products were flagged on NOW’s published results chart as failing carvacrol potency testing:
