Ohio Lottery Data Breach– Class Action Investigation

Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith is investigating a potential class action relating to a data breach incident involving The Ohio Lottery Commission, (“Ohio Lottery”), Ohio’s state run lottery.

Specifically, it is reported that Ohio Lottery discovered that an unauthorized user had gained access to its network and had accessed data stored there between December 24, 2023- April 4, 2024.  Personal information of approximately 538,959 individuals was exposed as a result. Information compromised may include the following: full name and social security number.
