Ascension Health Data Breach– Class Action Investigation
Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith is investigating a potential class action relating to a data breach incident involving Ascension Health Alliance, Inc. (“Ascension”), one of the largest nonprofit healthcare systems in the USA.
Specifically, on May 9, 2024, Ascension confirmed that they had detected unusual activity on their network resulting in major systemwide disruption in their clinical operation. The scope of information involved in this breach has yet to be determined, including the estimated number of people whose sensitive personal and health information may have been compromised as a result.
