Parties Reach $1.1 Billion Settlement in Philips MDL Litigation
On April 29, 2024, the parties in the In Re Philips Recalled CPAP, Bi-Level PAP, and Mechanical Ventilator Products Litigation announce that they had reached a settlement in principle of personal injury and medical monitoring claims for $1.1 billion. Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith serves as Plaintiffs Co-Lead Counsel in the case. This settlement is in addition to the settlement of economic loss claims, which will require Philips to pay over $600 million.
