Wells Fargo Health Plan Prescription Drug Overpricing

Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith is investigating a potential class action lawsuit on behalf of employees of Wells Fargo  who may have overpaid for prescription drugs covered by their employer-sponsored health insurance plans. Specifically, it is reported that certain Pharmacy Benefit Managers (“PBMs”) such as Express Scripts  –  who negotiate drug prices for health plans – have been setting inflated prices for medications that are significantly higher than their true market value. This conduct may have resulted in Wells Fargo  employees paying substantially more for their essential prescriptions through their Wells Fargo medical insurance than they would have paid if they did not have any employer-sponsored medical insurance.
