Volvo Airbag Recall – Class Action Investigation
Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith is investigating a potential class action case concerning reports that Volvo 2001-2006 S80 and 2011-2009 S60 vehicles are equipped with faulty air bags. Specifically, Volvo is recalling 460,769 older vehicle models featuring a flawed airbag design where fragments of the inflator inside the airbag, when activated because of a crash, can project out and potentially strike the driver. This could result in grievous injury or death.
As part of the recall, the Company plans to replace the driver air bag free of charge, and plans to notify affected owners over the next month.
