Volkswagen Automatic Braking Defect and Safety Hazard – Class Action Investigation

CSK&D is investigating a potential class action case against Volkswagen concerning recent models vehicles that create a life-threatening hazard through unexpected engagement of the vehicles’ automatic emergency braking system. The vehicles alleged to have this problem include (but are not limited to) the following:

2018-2019 Volkswagen Tiguan

2018-2019 Volkswagen Atlas

2018-2019 Jetta

Specifically, owners of these vehicles report that their brakes will suddenly and unexpectedly engage while driving despite that there is no obstacles or stopped vehicles ahead. Some have even reported the brakes being engaged when making turns at intersections or crossing traffic, posing a serious safety risk for drivers that could lead to an accident.
