Chimicles & Tikellis is investigating a potential class action lawsuit on behalf of individuals who paid upfront fees for a general purpose credit card from Union Workers Credit Services. It is alleged that after consumers paid upfront fees for the credit card, it was discovered that the credit card could only be used to buy items from the Union Workers Credit Services’ limited merchandise catalogue. Union Workers Credit Services’ direct mail solicitations and web advertisements stated that consumers could receive refunds within 60 days if they were unsatisfied with the credit card, but Union Workers Credit Services allegedly failed to provide these refunds upon receiving consumer requests.
