Underground Cellar – Class Action Investigation
CSK&D is investigating a possible class action lawsuit against online wine retailer, Underground Cellar. Consumers report experiencing a number of issues with Underground Cellar, including: wine not shipping for weeks or longer (or not at all), deceptive pricing models, and other issues.
On April 24, 2023, Underground Cellar announced on their website that they were shutting down all future order and shipping operations. Many of their customers took advantage of Underground Cellar’s CloudCellar feature, allowing customers to collect and store up to 500 bottles purchased through Underground Cellar. Underground Cellar has yet to detail what will happen to the purchased wine bottles that customers have previously purchased and whether they are recoverable or not. This leaves many customers who were actively signed-up for this service unable to acquire the bottles they had purchased and according to reports has stopped answering phone calls and emails.
If you have ordered from Underground Cellar and experienced any of these problems, particularly as result of the recent shutdown of operations, we would like to hear from you.
