Chimicles & Tikellis LLP is investigating a potential class action against magazine Sports Illustrated following reports that it is reducing its publication from weekly to bi-weekly. SI’s unilateral change to its publication schedule will significantly reduce the number of issues delivered to subscribers over the course of a year. SI implemented this change despite that consumers paid for subscriptions that they believed would provide a weekly publication. SI’s reduction in the frequency of its publication may violate consumer protection and laws and contract laws.
