Shell Data Breach  – Class Action Investigation

CSK&D is investigating a potential class action lawsuit against Shell relating to a data security incident tied to the extensive Accellion data breach.  As part of that breach, an unauthorized party gained access to various company files during a limited window of time.

On or around March 16,  2021, the Company disclosed that they had been the victim of a recent data breach, involving an unspecified number of Company stakeholders.  While the specific information compromised is largely unknown at this point, examples of documents released on the dark web have included visa documents, passports, company evaluation reports, and other records.
