Chimicles & Tikellis is investigating a potential class action lawsuit on behalf of consumers who purchased a Sharp model KB-6525P or KB-6524P drawer microwave. It has been alleged that the drawer microwave suffers from a design defect that causes the control panel to warp. It is also alleged that the heat disbursement disc located in the interior of the microwave also suffers from a design defect that causes the disc to warp and/or fail. When the heat disbursement disc warps or fails, it may cause smoking and or an odor that smells like burning metal or plastic. It is further alleged that Sharp has refused to repair or replace the defective parts when requested by consumers.
