Set Forth, Inc. Data Breach  – Class Action Investigation

Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith is investigating a potential class action relating to a data breach incident involving Set Forth, Inc. (“Set Forth”), a company who provides online account administrative services to consumers enrolled in debt relief programs. Company confirmed an estimated 1.5 million consumers had their information taken in a data breach incident according to a filing with the Maine Attorney General.

What Happened at Set Forth?

On or around May 21, 2024, Set Forth discovered that an unauthorized user had gained access to its system resulting in the compromise of personal data belonging to 1.5 million individuals.

The information compromised may have included, but not limited to the following: name, date of birth, address, and social security number.
