Revolv Product Discontinuation – Class Action Investigation
C&T is investigating a potential class action against Nest and Revolv relating to Nest’s announced discontinuation of support for its Revolv line of smart home products. Nest announced in February 2016 that support for Revolv will be ending in May 2016. Revolv’s smart home line of products was acquired by Nest in 2014. At the time of the acquisition, Nest did not disclose its plan to shut service down for Revolv. The discontinuation and shutdown of Revolv support will leave many homeowners with useless equipment for which they paid a steep price and will force “smart home” owners to seek equally or more expensive alternatives.
