Rad Power E-Bikes Fire Hazard Class Action Investigation

Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith is investigating a potential class action lawsuit concerning reports that 2019–2022 Rad Power e-bikes carry a risk of fire related to the lithium-ion battery. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has identified 31 fire-related incidents and over $734,500 in property damage that can be traced back to defective batteries in these bikes.

While federal regulators advise owners to immediately stop using the bikes, Rad Power Bikes has reportedly refused to issue a voluntary recall or offer refunds to affected customers. This refusal leaves thousands of owners with expensive, unsafe e-bikes and no form of equitable relief.

Affected models include the RadWagon 4, RadRover 5, RadRunner (1, 2, & Plus), RadCity (3 & 4), and RadExpand 5 (equipped with battery models RP-1304 or HL-RP-S1304).

If you own a Rad Power Bike that is subject to this safety warning, please complete the form below.
