PS5 DualSense Controller Privacy Concerns – Class Action Investigation
Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith LLP is investigating a potential class action related to privacy concerns associated with PS5’s DualSense controllers. These controllers are equipped with an array of microphones that can identify a controller’s user and isolate audio from the user specifically. They are designed as a replacement for headsets, and they are activated by default. Several owners have reported suddenly hearing portions of an unknown user’s private conversation sporadically, raising privacy concerns about whether the controllers’ microphones are picking-up on and recording private conversations without the user’s knowledge and transmitting that conversation to other users via the controller.
If you own a PS5 DualSense Controller and wish to further discuss your privacy concerns presented by the controller’s built-in microphones, feel free to contact the attorney(s) listed below.
