Prepaid Debit Cards Hidden Fees – Class Action Investigation

Chimicles & Tikellis is investigating a potential class action lawsuit against banks and other institutions that provide prepaid debit cards, also referred to as general purpose reloadable cards.  These cards often come with a number of restrictions and a variety of fees.   These fees can include, for example, fees for withdrawing money at an ATM, making balance inquiries, replacing the card, acquiring the card, inactivity fees for not using it frequently enough, and/or fees for calling to ask questions about the card.  It has been alleged that these fees are not adequately disclosed to consumers.
