Online Medical Providers, MedSpas and Treatment Facilities Sharing Medical Information Without Your Consent –Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center, Revive Med Spa, South Coast Med Spa, myLAB Box, Exxactcare, DivvyDose, OptumRX

Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith LLP (CSK&D) is investigating potential class action claims against several online medical spas and treatment facilities for allegedly sharing highly sensitive personal and health information without consent with TikTok, Meta, Google, Facebook, Bing, and others.

What are these facilities and providers doing?

If you have an online account with one of these facilities, they may have installed a “pixel” or tracking technology that takes the highly sensitive information you have entered and, without your consent, transmits it to TikTok, Meta, Google, Facebook, Bing, and others, which is then used to build profiles and target advertising. This information may include any and all of your patient data, contact information and financial information.

What types of companies are doing this?

These companies offer medical-related services for anything from hair loss, prescription medicines, eyeglasses and contact lenses, addiction treatment, and much more, for both adults and children.

Specific companies under investigation include:

– Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center

– Revive Med Spa

– South Coast Med Spa

– myLAB Box

– Exxactcare

– DivvyDose

– OptumRX

For example,  Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center allegedly transmitted information revealing health interests (e.g., hormone balancing therapy) and consultation form data to various data collectors.

Revive Med Spa allegedly transmitted data including health interests, procedure selections, and even financial information related to treatments.

South Coast Med Spa allegedly shared contact form data and interactive pop-up chat data, including personal and health information.

But many other companies are doing this too and if you have concerns about specific online facilities and providers, please let us know.

CSK&D is committed to protecting consumer rights and holding companies accountable for their privacy violations.
