Professional Dental Alliance Data Breach  – Class Action Investigation

CSK&D is investigating a potential data breach class action lawsuit relating to recent news that North American Dental Management, a dental services organization with more than 250 affiliated dental practices across 15 states, was the victim of a phishing attack involving the compromise of sensitive patient data.

Specifically, it is reported that a cyber-criminal used a phishing attack to gain access to computer systems of North American Dental Management between March 31st and April 1st of 2021. North American Dental Management provides administrative and technical support services for Professional Dental Alliance (PDA) offices. PDA was notified about the attack in early October 2021.

As a result of the breach, it is alleged that the following information of an estimated 125,760 people may have been compromised: names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, dental information, insurance information, Social Security Numbers, and/or financial account numbers.
