What Happened at NJ Lenders Corp.?

According to a notice letter sent to affected individuals, NJ Lenders experienced a data security incident on or about August 18, 2025, in which an unauthorized party accessed systems in its network environment. After launching an investigation with the help of external cybersecurity professionals, the company determined on September 12, 2025, that personal information may have been subject to unauthorized access. NJ Lenders began sending notification letters about the breach to impacted individuals on October 10, 2025.

The information potentially impacted by the breach includes the following:

  • Social Security Number

The exposure of sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (PII), particularly names paired with Social Security numbers, places affected individuals at a significant and ongoing risk of identity theft, financial fraud, and other related harms.
