New Balance Shoes “Made in the USA” Labeling-Class Action Investigation

New Balance Shoes “Made in the USA” Labeling-Class Action Investigation

C&T is investigating a potential class action against shoe manufacturer New Balance relating to its potential violation of California’s strict “Made in USA” labeling laws. Specifically, New Balance has long marketed its shoes as being made in the U.S., leaving many with the impression their purchase of New Balance shoes benefits U.S. based industry. A recent 2014 Wall Street Journal article reported that only 70 percent of the materials New Balance uses to manufacture its shoes are actually made in the USA, which may be in potential violation of California’s strict labeling laws that only allow “Made in USA” labeling for products whose parts are entirely, or substantially, made in the United States.

If you purchased certain New Balance shoes in California with a “Made in the USA” label anytime in the last two years, please contact the attorneys listed below about this investigation.
