MJ Freeway Software Failure – Class Action Investigation on Behalf of Medical Marijuana Dispensaries
CSK&D is investigating a potential class action on behalf of medical marijuana dispensaries relating to reports of failure of MJ Freeway software which prevented sales of medical marijuana. Pennsylvania requires all transactions to be processed through a software system called MJ Freeway. Reports indicate that the software crashed on September 17, 2019, preventing sales to sick patients across Pennsylvania. It has been reported that point of sale failure may have also affected dispensaries in other states such as Florida and MJ Freeway operates in approximately 26 states across the country. Reports also suggest a history of glitches and bugs with the software.
