Milk Thistle Supplement/Silymarin False Advertising – Class Action Investigation

Milk Thistle Supplement/Silymarin False Advertising – Class Action Investigation

C&T is investigating potential class action lawsuits against the makers of milk thistle extract supplements following reports that companies may be misstating the levels of silymarin in their products.

Milk thistle supplements naturally contain silymarin compounds which may be helpful in certain liver diseases as well as type 2 diabetes. Most milk thistle supplements claim that 80% of their extracts are silymarin — similar to products used in many clinical trials. However, recent reports indicate that most milk thistle extract supplements are not actually 80% silymarin. These misrepresentations may violate state and federal consumer laws.

If you have purchased a milk thistle supplement and believe or know that the silymarin levels in your supplement are inflated or misstated, please contact the attorneys listed below.
