Military Servicemember Vehicle Repossession – Class Action Investigation

Chimicles & Tikellis is investigating a potential class action lawsuit on behalf of military servicemembers who have had their vehicles repossessed by a bank or other financial institution.  The Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (“SCRA”) prohibits lenders from repossessing military members’ vehicles without court review when the servicemember took out the loan and made a payment before going on active duty.  It has been alleged that various lenders have been repossessing servicemembers vehicles without court review, in violation of SCRA.
