Law Enforcement Health Benefits Inc. Data Breach – Class Action Investigation

Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith LLP is investigating a potential data breach class action lawsuit against Law Enforcement Health Benefits Inc. (“LEHB”)  following recent news of an alleged data breach  involving the possible theft of sensitive personal information. In a statement from LEHB, it states that it discovered this data breach on February 25, 2022. Through an investigation, LEHB discovered personal information for 85,000 law enforcement officers was subject to unauthorized access and/or acquisition. The information potentially exposed in this data breach includes:

  • Date of Birth
  • Social Security Number
  • Driver’s License Number
  • Financial Account Number
  • Health Insurance Information
  • Medical Information (medical record number, patient account number, and diagnosis/treatment information).
