iPhone 12 Screen Flicker  – Class Action Investigation

Chimicles Schwartz Kriner & Donaldson-Smith LLP (CSK&D) is investigating a potential class action lawsuit relating to reports that iPhone 12 models suffer from a defect that causes the display to exhibit flickering, a green or gray glow, or other unintended lighting conditions.

A similar defect was found in iPhone 11 models, which Apple described as a “thermal management issue,” and seems to occur when the display brightness is set to 90% or lower. For now, Apple has directed technicians to avoid servicing any phone models exhibiting the display issues described above, and there is no fix at the moment for affected consumers.  Every iPhone 12 model appears to be susceptible to the defect, including the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
