Investigation of Fair Labor Standards Act Violations Related to Coronavirus Cleaning or Safety Procedures  – Class Action Investigation

The Chimicles firm is actively investigating reports that certain manufacturers and other employers are requiring employees to perform labor, such as cleaning of workstations, without pay as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.  The Fair Labor Standards Act requires that employees get paid for work such as cleaning workstations and donning and doffing protective equipment in most cases.  The Coronavirus outbreak has resulted in many employers adopting new safety procedures, such as additional cleaning of workstations and the use of new protective gear, but in many cases employees are not receiving pay for time spent on these cleaning or safety procedures.  These procedures are of course necessary and beneficial, but employees deserve to be paid for time spent performing them.

If your employer is requiring you to perform cleaning or utilize new protective equipment and is not paying you for time spent on these procedures, please fill out the form below.
